Not in need of the full suite of options? No problem! One size certainly does not always fit all. Microsoft 365 is completely customisable with licensing. We have many customers who just have email (Exchange) only licensing, or licensing that only provides access to the desktop software.
*If Microsoft suffer a failure on their server side, they will have you covered. However, if you were to lose your data through accidental deletion, corruption via a device or suffer a cyber-attack, the data stored on 365 will not be safe. Microsoft will not be able to help. This is the same situation for other cloud services, such as Google services, DropBox and Box.
We highly recommend implementing a backup solution for Office 365 (and DropBox / Box / Google) to prevent any possible future disasters.
